VIDEO PRESENTATION

The foundation of all –public organization “Russian Engineering Union” was laid in 2007, April, 28^th at the Constituent Congress in Moscow and registered by the Federal Registration Service of the Russian Federation on July 27, 2007.

Constituent Congress was attended by 298 delegates from 61 regions of the country, representatives of the leading branches of Russian industry, research institutes, and social organizations.

Chairman of the Organization - Sergei Chemezov, the Director General of State Corporation "Rostehnologii"

First Deputy Chairman – Vladimir Gutenev

Deputy Chairman – Boris Aleshin, the Director General of Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI) of N.E. Zhukovsky

Deputy Chairman – Ilya Gubin, President of Novikombank

Deputy Chairman – Mikhail Pogosyan, President, Chairman of the Joint Stock Company «United Aircraft Corporation» (UAC)

Union leading steering body - Congress must take place at most every four years

Governing body of the Organization - Central Council and Central Council Bureau

There are 64 regional representations of Organization in Russian Federation. It is a network of more then 3,000 engineering industry companies. Regional representations are dedicated to the promotion of common interests of more then 7 000 mainly large/ medium size member companies and around of 3 million employees of mechanical engineering industrial sectors in Russian Federation.

Mission statement

To facilitate Russian economic development, competitiveness, dynamics, diversification and innovation.

To join the Russian engineering industry companies in maintaining and defending the common interests with state authorities, in civil society institutions, as well as in the international arena

To form a strategy for the development of engineering industry in Russia, to participate in shaping public policy mechanisms for the modernization and development of the national mechanical engineering complex at the level of major industrialized countries
